SDSU’s Cox Arena is hosting the San Diego Slam this year. Four teams will be included: the Arizona Wildcats, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Ball State Cardinals and San Diego State Aztecs. Here is some news about the event:
San Diego enjoyed some great NCAA Tournament basketball last March at Cox Arena and this December they are going to get an early glimpse of four teams who plan on playing in this year’s tournament.
In game one we not only have two first year head coaches; we have sons of two coaching legends who will be anxious to demonstrate their ability in front of two veteran coaches squaring off in game two. The nightcap will feature San Diego State taking on Arizona, whose roster includes former local high school star Chase Budinger. The return of Budinger will certainly increase the excitement level for this matchup between top 25 programs.
