Best Places to Find San Diego Concert Tickets Online

By: San Diego Tickets Finder    Category: Concerts

San Diego is a big city. I fact I just checked and despite dropping a few notches on the biggest cities in the US list in recent decades (Phoenix and San Antonio passed it) it remains one of the 10 biggest cities in America and the San Diego metropolitan area is in the top 20 in the US.

If you like to see live music that is a good thing because most of the big concerts end up making stops in San Diego. Now there are several ways to get your hands on tickets to concerts in America’s Finest City; the least expensive way is often to simply call TicketMaster and buy your tickets at face value. But that often isn’t an option at the more popular concerts — tickets sell out fast and even when they don’t the seats that are left over are not always worth having (depending on the venue I guess). But don’t give up hope — even when the concert you want is sold out at the box office (or least the seats you hoped for are sold out) there are often ticket brokers out there that are looking to offload extra tickets they picked up and these are often some of the best seats in the house. Now it turns out these ticket brokers make their money by marking the high-demand tickets up above face value, but some brokers mark the tickets up more than others and some brokers have better choices than others. Here a guide to what I have found when it comes to tracking down tickets for San Diego concerts:

1. First, check out these ticket vendors for pricing:

2. Next come back and check our favorite after market vendors:
Source 1 - I like the parent company of these guys because they seem to have the lowest markups of the brokers I have seen. In other words, even if the other brokers have access to the very same seats these guys they are pretty likely to have the best price.

Source 2 - These guys are comparable to Source 1 in their inventory but have the added advantage of allowing you to sell tickets as well as buy them.

Source 3 - The advantage of these guys is that they tend to have the biggest inventory of the three. The may be a couple of buck more than Source 1 but sometimes you can find the tickets you want here when you can’t find them anywhere else.

Anyway, I’ve done a bunch of hunting and these three seem to be the main sources for brokered tickets online. It turns out that most web sites out there selling tickets end up being powered by one of these to begin with. So check them out and leave a comment if you have any tips or anything based on your hunting. And if you can’t find what you are looking for at these sources there is always eBay!

Happy hunting.
