Seal Tickets in San Diego

By: Jamie    Category: Concerts,Valley View Casino

Seal is coming to San Diego for a show. Come out to Valley Center to the Valley View Casino. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Seal was born Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel to Nigerian parents in London, England. The rumor that he was half Brazilian is false. He was adopted because his parents were unable to support him financially. He was raised in Paddington, a district of the City of Westminster in inner London. He received a 2 year diploma, or associates degree, in architecture and worked in various jobs in the London area.

While there have long been rumors as to the cause of the scars on his face, they are not the result of a tribal scarification rite. Seal’s appearance is the classic example of a relatively rare condition, discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE). Seal has revealed in interviews that he was afflicted with this syndrome as a teen. A condition where the immune cells attack various body tissues, DLE usually affects young people. Intense inflammation develops in the skin, particularly in sun-exposed areas. If not treated aggressively with sun protection and anti-inflammatory medicines, scarring can result. Not only did it cause the cheek scars, but he had significant scalp involvement, causing hair loss. The singer’s condition has been in remission for years.

Randy Travis is making the trek to San Diego to put on a show at the Valley View Casino. If you are a fan of his get your tickets soon. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Randy Travis (born Randy Bruce Traywick, May 4, 1959 in Marshville, North Carolina) is an American multiple Grammy Award- and Dove Award-winning American country singer. Active since 1985, he has recorded more than a dozen studio albums to date, in addition to charting more than thirty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which sixteen of those singles have reached Number One.

Considered a pivotal figure in the history of country music, Travis broke through in the mid-1980s with the release of his album Storms of Life on Warner Bros. Records; the album, which sold more than three million copies, made Travis the first country music act in history to achieve multi-platinum status. It also established him as a neotraditionalist country act, and was followed by a string of several more platinum and multi-platinum albums throughout his career. Starting in the mid-1990s, however, Travis saw decline in his chart success. He left Warner Bros. in 1997 for DreamWorks Records; there, he would eventually switch his focus to gospel music, a switch which — despite earning him only one more country hit in the Number One “Three Wooden Crosses” — earned him several Dove Awards.

Billy Idol Tickets in San Diego

By: Jamie    Category: Concerts,Valley View Casino

Billy Idol is one of the greats from the 80′s. It is funny that he hasn’t changed in twenty years. He is coming to the Valley View Casino in San Diego (Valley Center). Get your tickets soon.

Generation X couldn’t hold itself together and the members soon parted ways. Producer Keith Forsey and Bill Aucoin took hold of Billy Idol’s career and quickly moved him to New York in hopes of capturing an American audience.

The punk era had come and gone, and “New Wave” was taking over. Radio stations wouldn’t play a punk album, let alone an album with a guy with white spiked hair on the cover. Record companies found a way around this by re-marketing their artists. Most music, even older punk acts were now marketed as “New Wave” so they would receive fair radio play.

A few of Idol’s songs could be heard playing in the New York dance clubs. “Dancing With Myself” had been remixed, and Idol heard the song being played at a club one night. The idea was to capitalise on the song’s popularity by re-releasing it on his own.
