About halfway through the season the San Diego Charges will be playing host to the Indianapolis Colts at Qualcomm Stadium. The Chargers unfortunately aren’t on to the greatest start this season, but hopefully they can improve their chances for a division title as the season progresses. In October the Chargers will be host to the NFL expansion team, the Houston Texans at Qualcomm Stadium. Last year the Chargers had one of the best records in the NFL but pretty much threw it away in the post-season. Hopefully they can keep the same (or better record) and get it together in the post-season this time.

It’s April and that means the 2007 AFC West Division champs, Charger’s preseason tickets are going on sale. This August the Chargers will host the Seattle Seahawks at Qualcomm Stadium for their first preseason game. After last years stellar season the Chargers definitely have a chance to not only clench the AFC West again, but hopefully go all the way to the Super Bowl. The 2007 US Tour opening match of The Mexican National Football (Soccer) Team’s season will be held this year in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium. They will be up against their South American rival, Venezuela. With Hugo Sanchez as their new coach after a devastating Round 2 World Cup loss last year there are great hopes for the Mexican’s this year. The Venezuelan’s have yet to qualify for a World Cup however.

With only one game against the Arizona Cardnals left and having the best record in the AFC, the Chargers are sure to be in the AFC Divisional Playoffs at Quallcomm Stadium on January 13th (and maybe 14th). AMA Supercross is coming to San Diego’s Quallcom Stadium February. I’d love to see these guys jump huge piles of dirt in the middle of Qualcomm stadium, as it looks very exciting, but I don’t think I would make it through the whole thing. On Sunday November 26th the AFC West tied-for 1st place team, the San Diego Chargers (Go Bolts!) 
will be going up against the less than stellar perfoming Oakland Raiders. Naw, I’m not a loyal San Diego fan or anything. They will be playing at their usual venue The “Q” or Qualcomm Stadium (formerly known as Jack Murphy Stadium or the “Murph”). The Chargers are tied for first place with a 5-2 record but only have a one game winning streak. The Raiders on the other hand have a 2-5 record but have won their last 2 games. Decent Bolts tickets can sometimes be hard to come by even in years when the Chargers suck (which has been far too common in recent years…) Anyway, there is always that hope that the Chargers won’t suck this year, and even if they do, seeing them live still rocks! What could be better than wathching the Bolts on the, ummm, frozen tundra of Qualcomm Stadium. (Just kidding). I think going to a home game in the Fall is worth the effort just to rub in the fact that you are living large in sunny San Diego while most of the rest of the country is freezing their butts off in Pittsburgh or some other way-too-cold town!
