Kings of Leon are coming for a show soon. They are performing at the Cox Arena in San Diego. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Kings of Leon is an American alternative rock band. The members of the band are Anthony Caleb Followill, Michael Jared Followill, Ivan Nathan Followill, and Cameron Matthew Followill, however, the band members go by their middle names. After various jobs, the brothers moved to Nashville in 1996. They formed a band in 2000 with their cousin Matthew Followill. The band claims that their music was influenced equally by their religious upbringing and Jack Daniels Whiskey. Caleb recalls listening to “Crimson and Clover” by Tommy James and the Shondells with his uncle, and cites it as the song which really made him pay attention to popular music. This song is later referred to in ‘California Waiting’ with the lyric “crimson and clover pulling overtime”. They were members of the West Tennessee Choir for a short time mainly assigned to falsetto ranged harmonies.

Green Day is one of the biggest punk bands of all time. The are coming for a show at the Cox Arena here in San Diego. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. Its early releases for independent record label Lookout! Records earned them a grassroots fanbase, some of whom felt alienated when the band signed to a major label. Nevertheless, its major label debut Dookie (1994) became a breakout success and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. and 15 million worldwide. As a result, Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in and popularizing punk rock in the United States. Green Day’s three follow-up albums, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning did not achieve the massive success of Dookie, but they were still successful, reaching double platinum, double platinum, and gold status respectively. I have one of Yanni’s albums where he only plays piano. It is really good. He is coming to San Diego to perform at Cox Arena. Here is some info from wikipedia:

The Air Force Falcons are the collegiate athletic teams from the United States Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado. The University of Wyoming men’s basketball program, which currently competes in the Mountain West Conference, has a lengthy tradition dating back to 1905. Cowboys fans can claim something that few other teams’ fans can: an NCAA Championship, won in 1943 under Hall of Fame coach Everett Shelton and behind star guard Ken Sailors, who pioneered the jump shot that is now the standard in basketball. Well we have a new sport in San Diego. The San Diego Shockwave are an expansion team from the National Indoor Football League. They will be playing teams from all over the country. Their home stadium is Cox Arena at SDSU. I don’t know how long indoor football has been around but it sure would be interesting to watch. Now we can have football all year round! In the beginning of May the Shockwave will be taking on the Los Angeles Lynx at the Cox Arena.
