Disney On Ice: Princess Classics in San Diego

By: Jamie    Category: About and Other

I am sure you can figure out what is happening at the Disney on Ice this year. They are coming to the Sports Arena soon. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Disney On Ice is a touring ice show produced by Feld Entertainment under agreement with The Walt Disney Company. Aimed primarily at children, the shows feature figure skaters dressed as Disney cartoon characters in performances that each derive their music and plot from elements collected from various Disney films and properties; the “stars” of the show are credited as the Disney characters themselves, performing their parts in mock cameos, while the skaters performing themselves remain anonymous. The productions began in 1981, under the name “Walt Disney’s World on ice”. The name was changed to “Disney on Ice” in 1998.

Dave Attell Tickets in San Diego

Now I can’t say I know anything about Dave Attell, yet I can give you info from wikipedia (found below). He is preforming at the House of Blues in San Diego.

Born in Queens, NY, he grew up in Rockville Centre, New York and now lives in New York City. Attell’s initial dive into stand-up comedy is attributed to his indecisiveness as to what he should do after college. In 1987 (the same year he graduated from New York University with a degree in communications), like many other fledgling comedians, he worked normal jobs during the day and put in his time at comedy clubs at night. He worked his first gig at Governor’s in Long Island and, according to Attell, “totally bombed”. After years of finding his voice, he found himself being described as “the comedian’s comedian”. When working a club, the other comedians, such as Michael Royce (a producer/writer on Everybody Loves Raymond), David Juskow (a performer on TV Funhouse), Kevin Brennan (from Saturday Night Live and HBO’s One Night Stand) and Jon Stewart, would come in to watch his act. While the audience didn’t always follow his up-front delivery, fellow comedians were refreshed by his originality.

Find tickets to Doodlebops at San Diego’s iPayOne Center

By: San Diego Tickets Finder    Category: About and Other,San Diego Sports Arena Tickets,Theater

Alright, I admit it: The Doodlebops kinda creep me out. My toddler likes the show well enough but I cringe every time it comes on. Seems too similar to the weird psychedelic stuff from decades past like HR Puff n Stuff and that always creeped me out as a kid. Plus, the whole music dance theater thing that the doodle bops reek of just ain’t my thing.

But let’s face it — The Doodlebops are not targeted toward dads; the Doodlebops are targeted toward little kids and little kids eat this kind of stuff up. So if you are looking for primo seats to their San Diego show we have you covered. (more…)

Dashboard Confessional in San Diego

By: San Diego Tickets Finder    Category: About and Other

Dashboard Confessional is coming to San Diego for a show at Cox Arena on October 21, 2006. Apparently the show is a popular one because the brokers are all selling seats for this one. These guys reportedly throw a a pretty good show though. Their wiki says this:

Dashboard Confessional shows are known for their intimate atmosphere and enthusiastic participation from the crowds. Carrabba encourages the audience to sing large portions of the songs, stepping back from the mic and letting the crowd’s voices be heard instead of his. This can be heard on numerous songs from the MTV Unplugged recording. Carrabba has said that this fosters a bond between concert-goers, and helps him and the audience connect on an emotional level, making all his shows intimate, personal experiences.

I dunno… I always thought the singer sounded whiny…

Anyway, these tickets are going fast so here are the best places to check: Here, here and here. Odds are you can get some good tickets from one of those guys. If they don’t have what you need I doubt anyone will (except perhaps ebay).

Happy hunting.

About San Diego Ticket Finder

By: San Diego Tickets Finder    Category: About and Other

Hmmm… What’s to tell? We dig around and try to find the best places online to buy tickets for San Diego event, games, and attractions and then we write about it here.

If an event isn’t all that popular then it may be best to just buy at the event box office and we link to those on our resource page. If the event is popular or even sold out there are usually still tickets available through a few key “aftermarket” ticket brokers. (There are gobs of sites hawking tickets on the web but the vast majority of them are just selling the tickets from the same 3-4 brokers anyway.) So we check out the key brokers and try to point you in the right direction so you can find the tickets you need at the best prices available. Of course if an event is sold out these brokers ask more than face value (supply and demand and all, you know) but there are differences in asking prices for the same tickets sometimes so we try to help you sort through that.

As you can tell by the name of the site, we’re only focused on San Diego tickets around here. You welcome to comment at any of the pages if you see something missing or if you think there is some info we or others would be interested in hearing. Happy hunting for your tickets. We hope we can be helpful as you search!

Best Places to Find San Diego Toreros Tickets online

By: San Diego Tickets Finder    Category: About and Other

Look, I’ll admit it — I’m really an Aztec fan at heart. But even us Aztec fans must concede that the Torero basketball program is very solid. On top of that the football program seems to be getting better and better (what, with that celebrity head coach of theirs and all.)

So if you are looking to find tickets to a game there are a couple of ways to go about that. The first thing to do is try to buy tickets directly from the school. We have links to where you can do that on our resource page. But if you don’t find the tickets you really want there, here are some aftermarket ticket resources that often come up with killer seats to the Toreros games:

1. First, check out these ticket vendors for pricing:

AIW Tickets These guys have a solid inventory and usually the best pricing as well.

TicketNow – These guys usually have a pretty good inventory and are a decent alternative to check.

2. If that doesn’t work try one of these after market vendors:

Anyway, these are the resources I usually use. Have a look and let us know your reviews of these options in the comments. Plus if you have another favorite let me know and I’ll add it to my list if I like it too.

Any questions? If not, enjoy your game (and drive safely!)
