Queensryche has been to San Diego many times. They are coming to 4th and B this time. Here is some info from wikipedia

On August 9, 2007, the band announced that it would release a new greatest hits album, entitled Sign of the Times. The album was released on August 28, 2007, and a special collector’s edition featured a bonus disc including various demos and a new song, “Justified,” featuring Chris DeGarmo on guitar.

On November 13, 2007, the band released an album of covers entitled Take Cover. The album contains covers of songs by U2, The Police, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, and was the band’s second release for Rhino Records.

On February 3, 2009 Mike Stone announced the end of his association with Queensryche to focus on his side-project Speed-X. Michael Wilton recorded both lead and rhythm guitar on the band’s next release. Parker Lundgren (Formerly The Nihilists and Sledgeback), who played for Tate (and is also his son-in-law) during his solo tour, replaced Stone on the 2009 tour.

On March 31, 2009, the band’s tenth studio album was release, titled American Soldier, a concept album about war from the perspective of those on the front lines of American wars from World War II through the present.

As of late 2009 and early 2010, the band are on tour as part of The Queensrÿche Cabaret.

A Flock of Seagulls (also known as Flock of Seagulls) are a British Grammy Award-winning band originally formed by brothers Mike Score (keyboards, vocals) and Alister Score (drums), with Frank Maudsley (bass) and Paul Reynolds (guitar).

The group had a string of international hit singles including “I Ran (So Far Away)”, “Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)” and “The More You Live, The More You Love”, and became notable in the 1980s for their MTV video for the song “I Ran (So Far Away)”.

Ben Kenney is coming without his normal group of Incubus, but that doesn’t mean the show will be bad. He is coming to San Diego to play at the House of Blues. Come out for the show. Here is some info from wikipedia:

Ben Kenney, (born on March 12, 1977), is a musician from the United States, and the bassist for the band Incubus.

Ben Kenney played guitar for the hip-hop group The Roots before he joined Incubus in 2003 after the departure of bassist and founding member Alex Katunich aka Dirk Lance. He had previously played with Incubus members Mike Einziger and Jose Pasillas in Time Lapse Consortium.

The introduction of Kenney into the group marked a shift in the band’s sound. His tight grooves and hip hop influenced sound replaced previous bassist Dirk Lance’s funky bass lines. Apart from changing the groove and the style of Incubus’ work, he also added backing vocals to their songs (Mike Einziger used to do them), adding extra harmonies to each song, examples of which can be heard in the songs Agoraphobia, Pendulous Threads and Diamonds and Coal.

From Ganster Rap to actor, Ice Cube has some all around skills. He is taking his act to San Diego for one night. Come to 4th and B down town to see him. Here is some info from wikipedia:

The Swell Season is coming to San Diego and will be performing at 4th and B this fall. They are a Irish/Czech pair. Here is some info from Wikipedia about them:

The Swell Season is an album by Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová. It is the first album that Hansard, the singer for The Frames, has released independently of his band.

The project came about after Glen and Marketa were approached by the Czech film director Jan Hřebejk while touring in the Czech Republic, and were asked by him to record songs for his upcoming film Beauty in Trouble.

In December 2006, the band toured across the United States with Damien Rice.

The film “Once” (2006), directed by John Carney (Carney was a member of The Frames with Hansard) stars both Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard and deals with Irglová’s and Hansard’s characters recording an album.

Some of the tracks on this album have appeared on other recordings – the track ‘Falling Slowly’ on The Frames’ album The Cost, and ‘Falling Slowly’, ‘When Your Mind’s Made Up’, ‘Lies’ and ‘Leave’ on the Once soundtrack.

Fiona Apple is coming to San Diego this fall. She will be at 4th and B performing. According to Wikipedia:

Apple went on a live tour to promote the album in late 2005, and from early 2006 supported Coldplay on their tour of North America. In June 2006 Apple appeared on the joke track “Come over and Get It (Up in ‘Dem Guts)” by comedian Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis previously appeared in the music video for Apple’s “Not About Love”. The joke track is a complete departure from Apple’s previous work, both lyrically and musically. It is a hip-hop/rap/dance track that features Apple singing lines such as “Baby, show me your fanny pack/I’ll show you my fanny”.[8]

Apple recorded a cover of “Sally’s Song” for the special edition release of the soundtrack, released in 2006, for the Tim Burton-produced film The Nightmare Before Christmas. In May 2006 Apple paid tribute to Elvis Costello on VH1′s concert series Decades Rock Live by performing Costello’s hit “I Want You”;[9] her version was subsequently released as a digital single.

Apple toured the East coast in Late August with Nickel Creek, after which she will begin studio work on her fourth studio album.[10]

Apple is also scheduled to appear at the First Annual GirlFrenzy Festival, which also features Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne and other prominent female artists.

Lonestar, one of Country music’s front running bands is coming to San Diego for what may be their last tour. The lead singer may be leaving the band for a solo carrer. They have had numerous hits such as “Amazed”, “I’m Already There”, “My Front Porch Looking In”, and “Mr. Mom” but sales have declined lately. I am still a fan. Five for Fighting is coming to San Diego at the 4th and B coming up in April. Did you know that Five for Fighting is not the name of a band, but the name of the singer? It’s actually the stage name for John Ondrasik. He thought he would be remembered better if he used something other than his real name. I’d say that was a pretty good decision. Superman (It’s Not Easy) was his big hit that made him popluar in 2001 and he’s been on a roll ever since. The famed son of Bob Marley, Ziggy, is coming to 4th and B in San Diego on Thursday December 7th. He has a new album out called Love Is My Religion and I hear its pretty rockin’.

David Nesta “Ziggy” Marley (born October 17, 1968, St. Ann’s Perish, Jamaica) is a Jamaican musician, the oldest son of Rita and Bob Marley, the legendary roots rock reggae singer.
