Weird Al Yankovic Tickets in San Diego
The Del Mar Fairgrounds is home to one of the greatest fairs of the summer–the San Diego County Fair. On top of the yummy food and fun rides they also have great concerts lined up. One of the artists that will be performing is Weird Al Yankovic. I think he his hilarious and it never ceases to amaze me at how great each of his new albums are. I grew up to “I’m Fat” and “Eat It!” but his newest album “Straight Outta Lynwood” is great too! You would be missing quite a show if you didn’t get tickets to the Fairgrounds for Weird Al. Katherine McPhee, American Idol runner-up from the fourth season is making an appearance in San Diego this summer. The San Diego County Fair is always a great place to see a show and this year the concerts at the Del Mar Fairgrounds are not disappointing. I’m no big fan of Katherine–I think she flaunts her “stuff” a little too much but she does have a pretty voice. In my opinion Marilyn Manson is quite the freaky band, and the name Slayer says it all with regards to them. You definitely won’t see me at this show, but apparently enough people still like them to go on tour. They will be coming to San Diego’s Sports Arena later this year. 
Today my husband went golfing with my father and when they came home, my Dad brought in his iPod. He was really excited to have us listen to a new artist, Keb’ Mo’. So we listened to 5 or 6 of his songs. He sings blues, but it’s not really depressing like most blues. He sings fun upbeat blusie songs. He would be serioulsy fun to watch on stage. The 2006 American Idol contestants are hot and so many of them have already toured. Elliot Yamin is jumping on that wagon and is heading to San Diego this summer. He will be singing with his newly fixed teeth at the House of Blues. I personally wasn’t a big fan of the Eliot style, but that guy can sing. There is no doubt about it. I am an American Idol fan–what can I say?–and have always loved the song “Alone” by heart. When Carrie Underwood sang that song a couple seasons ago I was the happiest person alive for a few minutes. The women who sing in Heart have amazing voices and are coming to San Diego to show them off this summer. They will be singing at the Humpreys Concerts by the Bay coming up at the end of the summer. “You’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name…” Who doesn’t like this song? Although it can sometimes be a bit too long for some people’s taste it’s a great song. America is a band that has stuck through the test of time with its music. They have 7 top ten hits to their name and have just released a new album this year entitled “Here & Now”. When I was in Junior High Boyz II Men were in their height of popularity. I’ll always remember the 4 guys that sang “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” as we moved on to High School. I’m sure they will be singing some of their old songs as well as songs from their most recently released album, “Throwback”. They will be coming to Humpreys By The Bay in San Diego.
