Stomp Tickets in San Diego
Stomp is coming to San Diego this summer at the San Diego Civic Theater downtown. If you want to see a bunch of people on the stage crashing around on trash cans and using other household objects to makke fine music, here’s your chance. I’ve never seen Stomp but it actually sounds intriguing. I would love to see how they can make what my 2 year old does in the kitchen into a work of art. John Mayer is coming to San Diego. So John Mayer is all over the news today with his almost hookup with Jessica Simpson. And now he’s out on tour promoting his new album Continuum. He will be in San Diego at the Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. If you can’t find the tickets you want to this show at the box office here are the places to shop for after market tickets:
Fall Out Boy is out on tour and making a stop at San Diego’s Coors Ampitheater in a couple months. In 2006 Fall Out Boy was nominated for Best New Artist in the Grammys but unfortunately didn’t win. Coming soon to San Diego’s House of Blues is the Dave Matthews Tribute Band. When I saw this my first reaction was “Did Dave Matthews die and I didn’t know?” Fortunately that is not the case; Dave Matthews is alive and well. There are just some serious fans that sond remarkably like Dave Matthews out touring to show the world how much they love the band. Cute is What We Aim For is coming to San Diego at the intimate House of Blues coming up next month. When the band released their first album The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch it debuted at #75 on the Billboard charts despite the band’s history of drama. Killswitch Engage is coming to San Diego at Soma next month. I had never heard of this band before but as I was reading up on their Wiki I started to get intrigued by their style. Apparently they are a hard rock band that focuses on bringing about positive change and being optimistic. 
You had a chance to see My Chemical Romance over Christmas but if you missed it they are coming back to San Diego! They will be at the iPay One Center again this time to show San Diego how to rock. You may recognize this band by their recent hit “Welcome to the Black Parade.” If you can’t find the tickets you want to this show at the box office here are the places to shop for after market tickets:
Petco Park will be host to this year’s collegiate double header, the Tony Gwynn Classic tournament. Oklahoma will be playing USD and San Diego State will be up against Michigan. This is such an exciting day because the former Padre and current SDSU Baseball coach, Tony Gwynn, will be honored for his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. If you want tickets here are some great places to look.
The 2007 US Tour opening match of The Mexican National Football (Soccer) Team’s season will be held this year in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium. They will be up against their South American rival, Venezuela. With Hugo Sanchez as their new coach after a devastating Round 2 World Cup loss last year there are great hopes for the Mexican’s this year. The Venezuelan’s have yet to qualify for a World Cup however.
Keith Urban that famed New Zealand country singer is coming to San Diego at the iPay One center in June. You might recognize him by his hit “Making Memories Of Us” or “You’ll Think of Me”. If you like country music this is one artist you don’t want to miss because you don’t have tickets to it. Hairspray is coming to San Diego at the San Diego Civic Center in May. In 2003 the musical was nominated and won 8 Tony Awards. Sounds like a great musical to see to me. A show like this is bound to sell out so it’s best if you get your tickest early. Another American League team that the San Diego Padres will host at Petco Park is the Baltimore Orioles. They’ve done fairly well considering they are in the American League East up against the likes of the Yankees, the Blue Jays and the Red Sox. In 2006 the Orioles had a record of .432 so if the Padres hold close to their 2006 of .543 a win is probably going to happen.
In 2007 the San Diego Padres will have an interleague game against the Seattle Mariners at Petco Park. I like when they bring the American League teams into the picture. It shakes things up a bit. We’ll see if the Padres can do the National League proud by beating the Mariners. Last year Seattle had an average of .481 so as far as baseball’s concerned, anything could happen against San Diego’s (.543).
