The local SoCal band, The Vandals are putting on a Christmas concert. I’m assuming these are the real Vandals even though this show doesn’t come up on their webpage. It’s Christmas time again and you know what that means! The Nutcracker Ballet–not to be confused with The Nutcracker Suite–comes to town! This year its at the San Diego Civic Theater. I personally have never seen this ballet–or any for that matter–but it has been one I’ve wanted to see all my life! Don’t be like me and miss your chance again. The famed son of Bob Marley, Ziggy, is coming to 4th and B in San Diego on Thursday December 7th. He has a new album out called Love Is My Religion and I hear its pretty rockin’.

David Nesta “Ziggy” Marley (born October 17, 1968, St. Ann’s Perish, Jamaica) is a Jamaican musician, the oldest son of Rita and Bob Marley, the legendary roots rock reggae singer. He learned how to play guitar and drums from his father. His mother Rita called and baptised him David, but his father Bob nicknamed him “Ziggy” in reference to a big spliff.

Panic! at the Disco is coming to San Diego at the iPay One Center on December 9th.

Here’s some info from Panic at the Disco’s wiki page for your reading pleasure:

Panic! at the Disco was formed in the suburban area of Summerlin, in unincorporated Las Vegas, by childhood friends Ryan Ross on guitar and Spencer Smith on drums. Since the age of thirteen, the two played blink-182 covers in bands of different formations, but finally recruited Brent Wilson on bass and Brendon Urie on vocals and guitar. One theory of the origin of the band’s name is from the song Panic! by The Smiths. The main theory is that the band’s name originated from a song written by Name Taken, titled Panic.
